The five great souls that constitute Redial Entertainment are still alive, but scattered.

Harendra-ji is in Bombay, India enjoying university life like it should be, caught amidst his dreams, his passions and his recently shaved off afro.

Tejas-ji is in Pune, India, exploring "The Civil Cats" with his city neighbor Harendra-ji, trying to find his true education-calling; yet, staying faithful and connected to the film industry in some way or the other.

Ali-ji is in Toronto, Canada, playing CleopatraII (his guitar) better than ever, piercing, eating and studying Computer Science. Watch out for his guitar-skills - he just might become the next big thing. Remember then that you first heard of him here.

Romit-ji is also in Toronto, Canada, living his life to the fullest, becoming sexier than ever without disconnecting from anything he once treasured, which includes film-making.

I am in Austin, TX, USA, enjoying the independence like never before, getting involved wherever I can, and always staying connected to my passions of football (soccer), film-making and people.

Redial Entertainment will always unite us. Technically, it might just get revived and explore our greatest ambitions. Remember Ali, those ludacris-ly ambitious yet somewhat realistic dreams that we discussed of Redial Entertainment in those cab-rides back home?

Someday...maybe.

Our Best Work: Dubai Center For Special Needs Documentary

Summer of 2007 saw Redial Entertainment unite and shoot a complimentary promotional documentary for the Dubai Center for Special Needs. It is now extensively used to promote Dubai Center for Special Needs and is our best professional work so far.

From the scriptwriting to the video footage to the interviews, everything was handled by us.

Sheikha Fatima Award Winners Short Film

This is a high profile award ceremony held in the UAE by GEMS honoring female students from different schools across the Emirates for their over-all achievement in school. Redial Entertainment made this video which summarizes the views and dreams of these winners.

It was displayed on 2 screens 10 by 12 feet large, in front of a crowd of 300+ which included some members of the Royal Family, Principals of over 20 GEMS schools, parents of the Sheikha Fatima Award winners and other important guests.

It was by far one of the most successful exploits of Redial Entertainment.

Richard, Steve & Ali - Live at Dubai Country Club as a part of the show "Speakeasy" on the 14th of June, '07. They played Gary Moore's "Still Got The Blues" and Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know". Ali Khan is Redial Entertainment's guitarist/member! Also, Richard's vocals kicked ass!

"This is about the hopes and dreams of 3 young golf caddies, who have the potential but lack the opportunity to make a living out of their golf skills". This is a documentary made and shot by Dhruv Chopra but edited and re-produced entirely by Redial Entertainment. Note: No footage was shot by Redial Entertainment. We were only bought in as editors. We re-conceptualized the story-line too and guided Dhruv Chopra in making this film. This film was used to communicate issues faced by young caddies to potential sponsors.

Niche - An Advertisment [UPDATED]

This is an advert made by us [Redial Entertainment] for a store called "Niche". This shop will sell art-related goods such as canvases and sketches, body art ("henna"), accessories, etc at the Young Entrepreneur Competition that is going to be held in Reef Mall, Dubai from the 3rd to the 5th of April. Special paintings done by the students of the Dubai Center For Special Needs will also be up on sale, and all proceeds from the sale of these paintings will go to Dubai Center For Special Needs.

This is Redial Entertainment's newest project, and we really enjoyed doing it. It was completely shot by us, and Romit's back is living proof. [see below]

To shoot at a height parallel to ground, with the camera perpendicular to its usual position, we came up with what I would call the "Redial-Ninety-Degree" setup. We piled 2 tables on top of each other, and our famed camera man, Romit, then took the honour of holding the tripod parallel to the ground at a particular height (as shown in the picture) for the whole of 7 minutes. Romit died. Almost, but that hero did hold on well.

Yes the girls took only 7 minutes to paint, or well "doodle", the final picture, with ferocious instructions being shouted from us directors. Anyway, we really enjoyed making this video, and are proud of what we have achieved. Yes, there is scope for improvement, but there always is. Anyway, let's hope it's the first of many.

This is our take on INXS' song "Afterglow". Yes we did try to spoof it, because well we just couldn't get enough of JD's infamous jump, but the video somehow didn't turn out very spoof-y. Also, we didn't have any hot chick to emulate Estelle, so this video might come of as a little homosexual, but it is not so. Enjoy it or abuse it, we don't really care that much, but appreciate the editing and the direction, at least a little bit.

Yesterday was the biggest day in the history of Redial Entertainment. From Romit's famous head-shave, to meeting a 'could-have-been-Rivaldo' football player, the day held great moments for all of us.

Yesterday Redial Entertainment officially began.

Also not to forget Mrs. Dina Malpani without whose guidance today would not have been possible. Chrispean is this one talented guy who we worked with for "Any Dream Will Do" [Joseph], and besides being a Improv Video Mixer, he is also a talented half-magician.

Add some music to all that, some Rtv stuff, and there you have it - a video!

It's a little exaggerated and dramatic, which should not be taken too seriously.

This was our attempt to make an exceptionally scary film. However our excitement faded when we actually did start making the video, because we realised that it is not that easy to scare the living hell out of people. So the name came to be "Not So Scary", almost trying to mock our inability to scare the common observer. Though I must admit, so feeble hearts did flinch at some parts of this film. Hope your experience was more laughing-at-the-stupid type! =)

MNN- 12th Grade Farewell
